Chai is a vital spark of India. You will find it virtually everywhere, street sides, stations and in every Indian household. Chai can be prepared using different recipes, the most common ingredients used are cardamom, black tea, fennel, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, milk and clove. All of these ingredients have their particular health benefits; this is why chai tea is very good for the body. Here’s a simple chai tea that you can try at home.

  • First prepare the ingredients, 2 cups milk, 1 cinnamon stick, ¼ cup sugar, 4 black tea bags, cardamom pods, start anise, 2-3 cups of water.
  • Boil the water along with the tea, cinnamon, and cardamom. Wait for 2-3 minutes then remove from heat and strain. Make sure that the water is already dark from the tea.
  • Add milk and serve.
  • This makes 4 to 12 servings.
