But one thing is for sure—the traditional Tantra Yoga is focused on studying the tree of life. It is not limited to a single branch of the tree, but the entire body instead. What is Tantra Yoga?

Like Ayurveda, the study of macrocosm and microcosm are emphasized in the study of Tantra Yoga. Tantra Yoga seeks to understand the connection between microcosm and macrocosm being linked by a unifying law (dharma).

The goal of Tantra Yoga is to bring the person the awareness in all states of consciousness whether in the sleeping state or the waking state. And to achieve this, the human computer needs to be de-programmed and re-programmed. Every single one of us has our own primary programming which is influenced by our birth, environment, and heredity. If you are contented with how the way your life goes, you do not necessarily need a reprogramming. But if you experience difficulties that are beyond your limited program, then you may need to change it. Tantra Yoga has the tools and system for this modification.

The term Yoga means union or connection. It is the connection between the atma (living entity) and the Brahman (Supreme Atma or the Universal Soul). Finding a genuine and enlightened teacher is the very first thing a beginner should do as there are bogus gurus who would use and exploit people into a sexual practice.Tantra Yoga is not something that you can just learn all by yourself by reading books and manuals. You need an experienced guru to tell you everything you need to do as there is a great chance that you will just speculate on what you have read…and that would lead you to falsely believing you have achieved the Tantric goal.

Apart from incorporating the Hatha Yoga technique, Tantra Yoga also involves meditation by chanting a mantra on mala beads or just by sitting quietly in a meditative position. Through meditation, a person can direct his life force (atma) up to his spine and rise up into the forehead. This will help the practitioner achieve Nirvana or white light which brings bliss, serenity, and a sense of peacefulness.
